Ui-Gyeom and Seung-Joon get into a fight. They tumble down the stairs, and Seung-Joon sprains his leg. Ui-Gyeom seizes the opportunity to beat the crap out of him. A fearful Hong-Il hands back the stolen music player.
Yoon-Ki offers to coach Ui-Gyeom, insisting that while he may lack skill, he understands technique and can still help him improve. Ui-Gyeom then receives a message from his father, scolding him for skipping the academy. Needing to hide the evidence of a fight, Ui-Gyeom asks Seung-Joon to switch clothes with him because of the blood.
He watches his father lash out at the academy teachers and recalls how he took out his own frustrations by beating Seung-Joon. When his mother notices the bruises and asks about them, he lies. The next morning, his father suggests he drop to a lower level at cram school. Ui-Gyeom insists he can manage without downgrading. His father agrees but warns him coldly, "Fine, but don’t you dare cut me off while i am speaking."
Ji-Hyuk, a second-year bully, mocks Seung-Joon for losing to a nobody. Humiliated and furious, Seung-Joon rides a bike and attacks Ui-Gyeom with a wooden stick. Ui-Gyeom ends up in the hospital. When Seung-Joon sees Ui-Gyeom’s panicked mother, still grieving the loss of her eldest son. Yoon-Ki lies to Ui-Gyeom’s parents, saying he fell down the stairs.
Da-Bin asks her son not to go to school the next day, and even Yoon-Ki agrees. The following day, Ji-Hyuk, the leader of the second-year bullies, ignores Seung-Joon’s insistence that everything is over and tells him to come along to Ui-Gyeom’s class. During lunch, Ji-Hyuk tells Ui-Gyeom to meet him on the rooftop.
Ji-Hyuk orders Seung-Joon to beat up Ui-Gyeom, but when Seung-Joon refuses, Ji-Hyuk turns on him and starts hitting him instead. Unable to stand it any longer, Ui-Gyeom steps in and strikes Ji-Hyuk. Breathing heavily, he turns to Yoon-Ki and asks, "If I take this guy down, are there any more bullies left?" Yoon-Ki confirms that there are only two more.
